Terms & Conditions

The Dappled Path | Last updated: 3rd November 2026

1. About my service

The Dappled Path offers Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) sessions and workshops. I am a Level 2 EFT practitioner and work within the EFTMRA Code of Conduct and Ethics. By booking a session or workshop, or using this website, you agree to these terms. I will also talk through them with you at your first session, and you are welcome to ask questions at any point.

2. Qualifications and insurance

I only work in areas I am trained and competent to support. I carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance with Holistic Insurance Services. On request, I will share details of my training, qualifications, memberships and how to make a complaint. I only claim qualifications and memberships I can evidence.

3. What EFT is, and what it isn't

EFT is a complementary wellbeing approach. It is not a medical or psychological treatment.

  • I do not diagnose conditions or give advice about medication or medical treatment.

  • I do not offer guarantees of a cure or a particular result. Outcomes vary from person to person.

  • I will never knowingly give advice that conflicts with advice from your doctor or other medical professional.

  • Your GP or registered medical practitioner remains your primary carer. If you are experiencing symptoms that are prolonged, potentially serious or worrying, I will encourage you to seek medical advice and may note this in your records.

  • EFT is not a substitute for medical care, emergency services or crisis support. If you are in crisis, please contact your GP, NHS 111, Samaritans (116 123) or 999 in an emergency.

4. Fees, payment and cancellations

  • Fees: I will confirm all fees and payment terms before any session begins.

  • Payment: Is due 7 days after any workshop and prior to any individual sessions.

  • Cancellations and missed appointments:  Notice of cancellation is required at least 24 hours' notice. Any refund or transfer is at the discretion of the practitioner.

5. Your wellbeing and choice

I will treat you with respect and dignity and support your autonomy. You stay in control of every decision, including whether to book, continue or stop. I provide the same quality of service to everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other difference.

  • I will explain any technique involving touch before using it and will only proceed with your permission.

  • I aim to avoid causing you undue emotional or physical distress and will work at a pace that feels safe for you.

  • I may refer you to another practitioner or professional if I think they are better placed to help.

  • I may decline or end a session or programme if I reasonably believe it is not, or is no longer, helping you. I will explain my reasons. I will also aim to end work at the earliest point that is consistent with your wellbeing, rather than prolonging it.

  • I will maintain professional boundaries at all times and will not accept inappropriate gifts or favours.

6. Confidentiality

What you share with me is confidential. The exceptions are:

  • where there is a risk to your safety, my safety, or the safety of others (including children or vulnerable adults);

  • where I am required to disclose by law or court order;

  • where you have given consent to share information, for example with a referring professional.

I will explain these limits at the start of our work together.

7. Records and data protection

I keep brief client notes (such as contact details, relevant background, session notes and a copy of these terms). These are stored securely and handled in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). I will keep the records for 7years after the last session. You can ask to see, correct or have your information deleted on request and subject to legal requirements.

8. Recording and case studies

I will not record sessions, discuss identifiable cases with anyone, or publish case material without your written permission. I may use anonymised case examples in my own supervision or professional development. If you would prefer I did not, just tell me and I will not use your material.

9. Workshops and group sessions

Please treat what other participants share as confidential and respect everyone's boundaries. I may ask someone to leave if their behaviour affects the safety or comfort of the group. Any photography capturing moments in the workshop will be taken with full permission of the group.

10. Website content and testimonials

I aim for everything on this website to be truthful and accurate. Any claims about outcomes are based on evidence I can provide on request. Testimonials and case studies are shared only with consent.

11. Concerns and complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me first via my phone number and email used to arrange the sessions  and I will respond within 48 hours within working days Mon-Friday.

12. Changes and governing law

I may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
